Hello friend. I would like to ask you for help.

I have been diagnosed with dimorphism on a scale from 1 to 10, I was given 3,7.

I have a weak beard, I look unmanly and very young. I am 37 years old. My testosterone level is 630 and the norm is from 280 to 900.

I tried playing with butea superba, I felt that my beard improved a little but I felt that my estradiol level decreased a lot which killed my libido and self-confidence. I also tried tongat ali but differently I felt that my estradiol was decreasing and on my face I was getting very slim and wrinkles and crow's feet started to show. I thought about switching to trt but I know that it is not healthy. Please advise me master what to do. thank you and I wish you all the best.

Hey Noah, any recommendations on a good moisturizer? I already have the GHK-CU serum, and the moisturizer I’m using currently seems to be clogging my pores a bit. I have a feel a tallow balm wouldn’t be much better. Thoughts?

What are your thoughts on sun supplementation (red light, using UV tanning beds, etc…) in low sunlight + long winter areas?

Noah Ryan's avatar

tanning beds were essential for getting through Minnesota winters.

To this day I use Red lights and happy lights (mimics sunlight). Absolute necessity in northern climates

Noah, where would dairy fit in the Shredmaxxing protocol? In the basic template of fruit then protein/carbs then protein/fat I could see no-fat dairy at lunch, e.g. 0% greek yoghurt, fruit and honey as lunch? Then higher fat dairy at dinner, e.g. eggs and cheese, meat and cheese?

Non-fat dairy is the most unintrusive protein to incorporate close to your fruit till noon window.

If I'm looking to gain weight, I include non-fat dairy as my fruit-fast break, sometimes going into my fruit till noon window

Whole fat dairy will make it hard to get shredded, but is great as a nutritional/anabolic foundation. I incorporate it into "dairy re-feed" windows where I will spam dairy for a week or two

If I'm trying to incorporate it more consistently, I will have it whenever I have my "high fat" allocation meal or day. Eg a cup of kefir, raw milk, butter, cheese

Hey brother, I haven't seen you speak much about Raw Milk or honey throughout your diet stuff - I know some people also recommend to consume that up until noon too? whats your thoughts?

Noah,

Any supplements you recommend that can help chronic back issues/tension? Maybe to help heal? I am considering injecting PRP or that about that BPC-157? I'm desperate man.

Godspeed.

You can't out-supplement lower back issues unfortunately, Agmatine sulfate for neuropathic issues and BPC-157/tb-500 for regeneration, but beyond that, don't rest your hopes on supplementation

Unfortunate reality

What tools and methods do you use to plan, organize and log training?

Expand full comment
Noah Ryan's avatar

I never plan organize nor log training. I simply go with the flow and what my body is telling me.

This is my perogative with fitness. Logging ruins the creative flow and makes me uninterested in the creative process. I don't track metrics nor consistency markers. I listen to my body and my intuition.

This is how you make fitness a lifelong pursuit

Did you experience any noticeable impact(s) when you cut out creatine?

I have been on for ~3-4 years straight. Cutting it off now, experiencing massive hair shedding the past year and want to extinguish every candle.

Significantly less shredding and also less mania. I'm less of a loose cannon when I cut out creatine

I also lose a lot of bulk/mass/water retention

Hey Noah, some background and context first:

I’ve struggled with depression and anxiety since I was a kid. I was put on acutane, vyvanse/concerta, and different types of SSRIS on and of during 12-19 years old because of anxiety, suicidal thoughts, ADHD and depression. Now I’m 25, I’m off all the subscription drugs since I was 20. My diet is dialed, my training is dialed and has been for 10+ years, my sleep is dialed, 0 to little alcohol, have an amazing girlfriend. But the anxiety and risk of depression doesn’t go away, ever. It’s almost as my body and mind is in fight or flight at all times even tho I’m doing everything “right”. Do you have any tips for someone that really struggles with anxiety in their day to day life? (obv already theanine and bisglycinate maxxing)

Noah Ryan's avatar

Depression and anxiety are signals

Signals that somethings not right. Biologically, psychologically, spiritually.

Some people are more sensitive to these signals than others (hence "genetic predisposition"). Some simply require more specificity.

The WORST thing you can do is drown out these signals. This is why anti-depressants and anxiolytics are net-negatives (aside from causing brain damage and suicidal ideation).

Drowning out the signal delays the inevitable. Its like covering up the check engine light with a piece of tape when what you really need is an oil change.

Don't run away from these signals, sit with them. Embrace them with curiosity. Figure out what they're telling you and act accordingly.

Hey Noah, curious to hear your thoughts on taking small dosage exogenous DHT (prescribed by doctor) in order to create 5ar up regulation positive feedback loop. Accutane messed with 5ar. Thank you!

I've seen promising outcomes but I don't mess with exogenous hormones personally and can't recommend. But It is something i'm interested and open to

My chest has always lagged behind the rest of my body when training. Any tips? Chestmaxxing protocol?

Expand full comment
Noah Ryan's avatar

If you have a lagging muscle group, you likely lack proper muscle activation

Shift from training chest as an exercise to training chest as a skill acquisition endeavor. Your goal is to train your brain to turn on the muscle fibers in your chest. Feel every one of them.

Do this every session, go hit chest cable flyes and close your eyes, feel those muscle fibers activate

You need to tell your brain that its okay to use those muscle fibers. Mind.Muscle.Connection

Hi Noah,

I’m 16 and struggling with pretty severe, painful acne. I’m trying to avoid Accutane because I’ve seen how it has harmed others, including you. I’ve noticed you talk a lot about the negative effects of Accutane, which is why I’m reaching out for your advice.

I’ve been doing a lot to improve my health , but despite all my efforts, I’ve seen no real changes in my skin. After trying countless diet and lifestyle changes with no success, I finally went to a dermatologist. The first thing he did was prescribe Accutane without asking anything about my diet, lifestyle, or what I’ve already tried.

What I’ve tried so far:

Diet:

• Sticking to a strict diet of organic, pasture-raised or wild-caught animal proteins and organic fruits and vegetables.

• Eating fermented vegetables, drinking kombucha, ACV, and kefir to support my gut health.

• For a while, I included grass-fed dairy (a lot of it raw) and some sourdough, but after my acne worsened, I cut out all dairy and lactose for almost two months. My skin only got worse, so I reintroduced it and noticed no changes either way.

• I’ve also tried low-carb, low-sugar, keto, and intermittent fasting.

• Completely avoiding processed foods and sticking to whole foods only.

Lifestyle Changes:

• outdoor workouts (calisthenics and kettlebell training).

• Grounding as much as possible and getting daily sun exposure

• Cleaning clothes and bedsheets often with natural detergents.

• Using only stainless steel and wood in my kitchen.

• Almost 100 percent of my clothing is made from natural fabrics.

• Getting about 8 hours of sleep every night.

• Staying hydrated, reverse osmosis water and coconut water.

• Spending time at the beach, playing tennis, and sprinting.(daily movement)

• Turning off WiFi at night and using blue light blockers.

• No alcohol, drugs, or smoking.

Supplements I’ve Tried:

• PoreFavor Acne Supplement

• Magnesium glycinate + potassium

• Glutamine

Skincare I’ve Tried:

• Just water

• The beach

• Norse Organics

• Grass-fed tallow

• Benzoyl peroxide

• Clindamycin lotion

• Salicylic acid

• ACV

• Olive oil soap

• Icing my face

• Heating/steaming my face

• Facials

• Baking soda

Despite all of this, I haven’t made progress. I don’t know what else to do at this point.

I am scheduled to start on Accutane in four days.

Do you have any advice or suggestions? I would really appreciate any guidance you can offer.

Thank you so much.

Whats up man. This is going to be paradoxical but more is not better. You are operating from a state of franticness right now & likely only exacerbating the issue. When I was your age I was in the same boat. Total pizza face doing everything under the sun to try and fix it

What you need to do is reset. Just let it be for a little bit. No crazy treatment, no more protocols. Just go low & slow

Keep acne out of your diet. Eat easily digestible carbohydrates and protein. Keep it simple. Use a gentle cleanser like aleppo or ivory soap. Get some full spectrum sunlight on it if you can, but don't overdo it.

You have disrupted the natural balance of your skin, it needs time to re-regulate. I'm going to DM you to hear a little bit more about it
