Hi Noah!

A few questions regarding Mold Illness:

(I am currently dealing with Mold Illness/CIRS)

- Did you test for HLA-DR/DQ gene variants? If so, what were your results?

-Considering most mycotoxins are negatively charged, and Cholestyramine is positively charged, this makes CSM the most plausible option in my eyes for efficiently binding mycotoxins.

Especially if one possesses susceptible HLA-DR/DQ gene variants, causing poor presentation/clearing of toxins in the immune system. In people with susceptible HLA haplotypes, unconjugated toxins are reabsorbed in the intestine due to the lack of antibody production that would keep them from being reabsorbed.

(enterohepatic recirculation).

It seems that in this case, one would want something like CSM that has an extremely strong electrostatic attraction to mycotoxins to bind/eliminate as many toxins as possible.

Curious to hear your thoughts on CSM vs Natural binders, what you are currently taking.

Are you worried about the potential implications of the binding of fat-soluble vitamins, dietary fats/phospholipids, CoQ10, thyroid hormones, and reduced LDL Cholesterol with Cholestyramine? (I am trying to navigate this myself)

-Did you test for MARCoNS? Results?

What is your strategy to treat MARCoNS, if present?

-Aside from MARCoNS, there is some belief that one can actually be colonized with mold spores. lungs, sinuses, etc. What are your thoughts on this aspect?

-How bad did the neurological symptoms get for you?

Did it affect you to the point where you feel the need to do serious brain retraining to get out of the constant sympathetic system activation?

-Did you run a hormone panel after exposure?

Were your Testosterone/DHT affected?

Thanks man,

-Ben

Sensitive nervous system (long time in sympathetic mode). Tendency towards overthinking and anxiety. Biochemical approach to balance neurotransmitters (GABA, dopamine...)?
